The Freeman Players will present Meredith Wilson’s THE MUSIC MAN, A delightful American classic set in small town River City, Iowa of 1912. It centers around a fast-talking traveling salesman, selling the idea of a boys’ band, complete with shiny brass instruments and uniforms. The only problem is, he claims to be a professor of music, but doesn’t play a note. The town librarian, who also happens to be the music teacher sees right through him, but gets caught off guard by his charismatic personality, and eventually sees what he has given to the town…hopes and dreams.
Performances are April 26th, 27th & 28th at 7:30 p.m. in the Douglas Freeman auditorium.
Tickets may be purchased for $10 in advance or $12 at the door.
