What happens when an old-fashioned comedy of manners gets dropped into modern Hollywood? You get this scintillating exposé about an up and coming macho heartthrob and his high-flying, fast-talking Hollywood agent who has to pull every trick she can imagine to keep her star client from coming out of the closet.



Generic Theater is seeking NON UNION actors to fill 4 character roles (see below). Headshots and resumes are encouraged but not required. Be prepared to provide all scheduling conflicts throughApril 8, 2018. Auditions will consist of reading from the script. Those auditioning are asked to provide all conflicts they may have through April 8, 2018.


Mitchell – (Early to Late 20s) – Up and Coming Heartthrob Actor who has difficulties dealing with the excitement of his life, the newfound pace of his career and being true to what is in his heart and who he really is.

Diane – (Early 40s to Late 50s) – Mitchell’s “no holds bar,” tough as nails agent who knows how to make an actor successful. She knows who Mitchell is but wants and needs to make him the biggest star he can be. She is the driver of Mitchell’s career and will make him successful at any cost.

Ellen – (Early 20s) – Alex’s girlfriend who is always looking for her next sugar daddy and her way to lead an easy life. She knows what Alex does for a living and is okay with it as long as he always comes home to her.

Alex – (Early to Mid-20s) – Alex is an escort for a career and loves what he does for the fast and good money. He loves his life but feels like something is missing. When he realizes, he is falling in love with one of his clients, he starts to journey along his own path of self-discovery.



Rehearsals will generally be scheduled Monday – Thursdays7:00 – 10:00pm. Additional weekend rehearsals will be Saturdays from 10:00am – 1:00pm or Sunday evenings from6:00pm – 9:00pm, depending on the availability of the cast selected. Not all actors will be called to all rehearsals until tech week.

Tech week, requires all cast and crew the following dates/times:

Saturday, March 10th, 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Sunday, March 11th, 12:00pm – 6:00pm
Monday, March 19th, 7:00pm – 11:00pm
Tuesday, March 20th, 7:00pm – 11:00pm
Wednesday, March 21th 7:00pm – 11:00pm
Thursday, March 22th 7:00pm – 11:00pm
