EBEN: This role has been cast.
EPFRAIM CABOT (60s-70s): Family patriarch, farmer, understands the yearning of loneliness and the fire of passion. O’Neill describes him as having a “great, wiry, concentrated power.”
ABBIE PUTNAM (20s-30s): Determined, obstinate, shrewd, sensuous. Described by O’Neill as “unsettled, untamed, desperate.”
