Casting Call: “That Damn Horse: The Stories of Gay Rodeo”

From Robert Caisley (playwright of LUCKY ME, produced at CATTheatre in 2018; and Chair of the University of Idaho Department of Theatre Arts) [Note that times are in PST]:

“Please help spread the word. We’re looking for actors to workshop a new verbatim play based on testimonies collected in the Gay Rodeo Oral History Project. Queer histories in the American West are currently severely underrepresented. This play has the potential to introduce queer western identities to public audiences and contribute to our community‚Äôs understanding of our own history, restoring the rightful place of individuals silenced or altogether absent from the traditional narrative of the American West.”

Actors interested in submitting should email Robert Caisley, Chair of the UI Department of Theatre Arts at to receive the sides. Actors can then upload a headshot, resume and short video audition using the link below:
