“The St. John’s Church Foundation seeks actors for a special all-women production of “Liberty or Death” to honor the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage. We are seeking 10 women to fill the roles of the men who participated in the Second Virginia Convention on March 23, 1775. All roles will be paid a stipend for the rehearsals and performance.
Theater Director Stacie Rearden Hall will direct this production.
Date of Performance: August 18, 2020
Rehearsal Dates: We have planned 5 rehearsal dates in August.
Location: It’s our sincere hope to have this exciting production inside Historic St. John’s Church with a live audience. However, we are also planning for a live stream of the production (no audience) to keep our patrons and patriots safe during this pandemic.
How to submit an audition: Due to COVID-19, we are accepting video submissions in lieu of traditional auditions. Please prepare and record a one- minute monologue that shows emotional range and ability with language.
You may send your submission to: submit AT historicstjohnschurch.org
We may also hold callbacks via the Zoom application.
Due Date for Submissions: June 1”
