Director Tom Width is seeking two extremely skillful actors for Swift Creek Mill Theatre’s fall production of “The Woman in Black”, adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from Susan Hill’s novel. One actor should be in his mid-twenties, the other in his mid-fifties — and both must be able to captivate an audience through storytelling and characterization. This ghost play has been running in London for 27 years, thrilling audiences with its ability to frighten spectators using the most basic theatrical contrivances. In addition to the two actors, the cast includes two women in non-speaking roles – please express your interest if you would like to be considered, as no auditions will be held for these roles.
Auditions will be by appointment on Sunday, July 23, between 7 and 10 P.M.
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, July 31.
First performance is on Thursday, September 14, and run through Saturday, October 21.
There are several daytime performances for schools in addition to the regular mainstage schedule.
All performers are paid.
