Virtual Student Film Project – RPAA

By | June 28, 2020
Learn digital media video production from your own home!
Grades 7th-12th
Some equipment required: Questions and Registration:
Registration is open and space is limited! We have all had to make some adjustments to our lives and livelihoods in the era of social distance. People have been forced to adapt to using video to communicate remotely. As you may have seen, there have been varying degrees of success!

There is a very high demand for those who know how to effectively use digital collaboration tools, or how to create clear visual design, or how to tell stories that have emotional impact. Even those of you who are very familiar with technology, may not be aware of all the techniques and free tools available. This course will be a first step towards creating your own self-sufficient digital productions.
Virtual Student Film Project

Class Objectives:
We will learn the creative process by exploring the digital and creative tools at our disposal; examining what works and what fails in digital media; learning to tell clear stories that both inform and have emotional impact; and learning various methods of web delivery as well as the pros and cons of each. These tasks will all culminate in the course project: creating a short video piece to tell the story of a local charity or cause that is important to you.
Camp Dates:  July 13-17
Time: Participants will have a daily video conference from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM using Google Meet.
Cost: $100
Contact: If you would like more information or have questions, please contact our Media Content Specialist, Andrew Keeton
