Hello, Community! SPARC – Youth Performing Arts is currently seeking applicants for the following position (read through for contact and application information): Costume Assistant for Live Art LOUD! The Movement
The Costume Assistant reports to the Costume Designer and Live Art Program Manager. They will assist the Costume Designer during rehearsals and the performance of Live Art LOUD! The Movement with tasks ranging from organizing to problem-solving to repairing costumes. The Costume Assistant should plan to be available May 1-June 2, especially in the evenings for rehearsals and performance. The ideal candidate will have relevant wardrobe experience, including hand-stitching, crafting skills, and dresser/quick-change skills.Live Art is an inclusive performing arts program for students of all abilities; each class is comprised of 50% of students who are typically developing and 50% of students who have a disability; students range from ages 10-18. This nine-month program culminates in a performance experience at the Altria Theater with students from the program and guest artists from around the country. This position includes a stipend for the Costume Assistant’s time, payable in June 2020. The performance of Live Art LOUD! The Movement is Sunday, May 31, 2020, at the Altria Theater.
