PAID: Directors, Actors, Modern Dancers
SHORTS 2018 is K Dance‘s annual concert of fully-staged short one-acts and movement pieces. Artistic Director / Choreographer Kaye Weinstein Gary inspires a unique style of storytelling, encouraging her directors to integrate conventional theatrical blocking with modern dance. Kaye’s work is collaborative and she incorporates the forte of each performer into her choreography. For her 2018 ensemble, Kaye seeks additional directors, actors who move well, and modern dancers.
A K Dance production on the stage at Richmond Triangle Players at the Robert B. Moss Theatre, SHORTS 2018 runs Mar 22-24: 3 shows at 8pm, plus a 3pm Sat matinee. Rehearsals will revolve around participant availability, usually twice a week. The offerings this year are by playwrights Christopher Durang, Mary Miller, Linda Snyder, Wendy Wasserstein, and Irene Ziegler. The professional production crew will be led by Matthew Landwehr.
