Rehearsals for “Every Brilliant Thing” starring Audra Honaker are underway!
The play by Duncan MacMillan with Johnny Donohoe tells the story of a woman who, after her mother attempts to take her own life, begins “a list of everything brilliant about the world. Everything worth living for.” Number one on the list? Ice cream, of course. “The story explores depression and hope, uncertainty and change, confusion and joy, heartbreak and anger, relationships and solitude, risk and resistance, guilt and forgiveness.
”After so many months of learning to cope with the unanticipated changes in our lives due to the pandemic, “Every Brilliant Thing” is just what we need. It is a “life-affirming story of how to achieve hope through focusing on the smallest miracles of life.”
Performances are Sept. 17 through Oct. 3 at the Perkinson Center for the Arts and Education in Chester.
