VA Rep: After December Opens in March

By | February 12, 2023

We’re excited to announce that the Science Museum of Virginia is our promotional partner for our next Signature Season production, After DecemberMarch 3 – 26 at the November Theatre. The production explores the intersection between science and art in the play, and we’re thrilled to have the Science Museum on board to help spread the word.

This World Premiere was written by local playwright Bo Wilson, and is directed by Artistic Director of Programming, Rick Hammerly. Rehearsals begin next week, but we got a sneak peek when we listened to an early reading with the actors. The play is set two miles below ground in a particle collider, with a group of top secret government scientists who are perplexed when a female poet appears in their midst. She doesn’t have any idea where she’s from, but she’d really like to go back home. They wonder… who sent her? What is she doing here? What makes her poems so powerful? There is comedy, mystery and a lot of adventure in this new work.
