JOB SUMMARY: Provide leadership, coordination, and management of the Sara Belle November Theater facility. Responsible for the overall operations of cultural arts programming to include programming oversite, ensuring safe operations. Supervise theater staff, visual arts staff, contractual staff and volunteers who are involved in presentation of theater programs.
Requirements
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:
Understanding the principles and practices of effective theater management including all aspects of operations
Demonstrated experience with contract negotiation skills
Ability to lead and motivate staff to achieve the desired results
Demonstrated experience in budget preparation and fiscal management
Computer skills including data entry, MS Outlook, Excel and Word
Ability to demonstrate professional behavior and serve as a model for others, including professional image and appearance
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively speak publicly to large and small groups, including Foundation and Corporate Boards
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of experience in arts management, marketing and fundraising fields
Effective written and oral communication skills
Valid Driver’s License in the State of Virginia with a minimum age 21 to drive for the organization
Motor Vehicle Driving Record satisfactory to insurance providers
