CELEBRATING THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE ARTS The arts have the power to inspire confidence, spark creativity, and create connections that last a lifetime. Behind those experiences are dedicated educators, artists, and community leaders who help make them possible. At Party for the Arts: Homecoming on November 20, we’re proud to recognize three extraordinary individuals whose work is making a lasting impact on arts education throughout the Richmond region. 2026 ARTS EDUCATION AWARDS Presented by Richmond Times-Dispatch Support Award | Erin Mowles | Sponsored by Genworth A board-certified music therapist, Erin helps individuals discover new ways to communicate, connect, and express themselves through music. Her compassionate approach creates meaningful opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to experience the transformative power of the arts. Nurture Award | Zachary Fortune | Sponsored by Atlantic Union Bank As choral director at Fairfield Middle School, Zachary is inspiring the next generation of performers. Under his leadership, the school’s choral program has doubled in enrollment, earned consecutive superior ratings, and launched Henrico County’s only competitive middle school show choir. JOIN US IN CELEBRATING THEIR IMPACT These three honorees represent what makes arts education so powerful: the opportunity to help students discover their voices, explore their creativity, and find a place where they belong.
