ATLAS Partnership seeks strong singers/actors to audition for the premiere of the new script and score of GABRIEL this Sept.-Nov. at Hanover Tavern. The title role of Gabriel has been pre-cast with Equity actor Jerold Solomon and is not available for audition.
GABRIEL is a soaring musical drama by Jerold Solomon, Foster Solomon and Ron Klipp, inspired by the life of Gabriel, an enslaved Richmond-area blacksmith born in 1776 who sought to win freedom for 300,000+ Black Americans in the wake of the American Revolution. GABRIEL the musical was originally developed and produced at Firehouse Theatre in Fall 2022.

Auditions: Monday, June 30 & Tuesday, July 1, 6:00–9:00 PM, First African Baptist Church, 2700 Hanes Ave., Richmond, VA
This production features more than 20 songs and will require the ability to read music or follow musical notation.
What to Prepare:
- A 1-2 minute dramatic monologue
- 32 bars of a song in a contemporary musical theatre or gospel style (bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided)
- Headshot and resume, stapled together
Please note: You may be asked to stay until the end of your scheduled audition hour to participate in a brief group movement session with the choreographer.
