Director Hayley Cartee seeks an ensemble of 6 actors for CAT’s fall show, Hollywood Nebraska by Kenneth Jones.
Auditions are June 17th from 6pm-8pm and Callbacks June18th from 6pm – 8pm.
What to prepare: Prepare a monologue or side from the online drive and bring a copy of your headshot and resume
Where: The Lynn Theatre at Brightpoint Community College (800 Charter Colony Parkway, Trailblazer Hall)

Please note: Actors in this production may engage in physical touch such as those who are in a relationship might display. This may include close contact, hugging and kissing. Specific information on all intimate moments in the production will be disclosed at auditions. An intimacy choreographer will be employed for this production.
We recommend that you read the script in full, if possible, prior to auditions, to understand the requirements for each role.
Rehearsals will be during the evenings and on the weekends and will begin July 6th.
Performances are at Hanover Tavern from August 28th – September 13th.
All roles are paid.
Character Breakdown:
Robert: Late forties, early fifties, a carpenter/contractor. Decent blue-collar man of few words, a catch, a widower ready to connect. Any ethnicity.
Alma: Seventies or older, a housewife, mother of Jane. Homespun, likeable, lonely, brooding on past hurt, eager for renewal. Helpful if the actor can sing. White.
Jane: Forties, an LA actress. Unpretentious, unfiltered, chilly but not unkind, California cool. White.
Andrea: Forties, a New York Actress, Pretentious, unfiltered. New York, darkly comic, sexy, hurt, lost, a proficient singer. Any ethnicity.
Katie: Fifteen, Robert’s daughter. Eager, curious, starstruck wannabe actress, a good kid. Helpful if actor can sing. Any ethnicity.
Lance: Thirties, a carpenter/contractor. Guileless blue-collar guy with hidden talents, sincere, uncomplicated, sexy, comic. Any ethnicity.
