Director Gracie Berneche and Music Director Kim Hoyle are seeking passionate 5th-12th graders for Homefront Players Kid Kaper’s production of “Matilda Jr.” Auditions will be held on 1/24 in three different groups. Time slots are 9:30, 11:30, and 1:30. Each slot will be 90 minutes long and auditionees should be prepared to stay for the entire 90 minutes.
All auditionees should prepare a one minute or 32 bar cut of a musical theater song in the style of the show, either with pre-recorded music or a cappella. Songs from the show are not discouraged. Everyone will also do a quick dance call at the end of each audition slot, so they should be prepared to move in close toed shoes!
Rehearsals will start the first week of February. Performances are March 13 @ 7pm, 14 @7pm, 15 @ 2pm, 20 @ 7pm, 21 @ 7pm, & 22 @ 2pm.
Auditions are at the rehearsal studio behind the theater. 4300 Lee Ave, Fort Lee, VA. Anyone over 18 entering Fort Lee will need to call (804) 720-0163 ahead of time (3-4 days or more) to get pre-vetted to get on base. Please plan ahead!
