We are seeking a passionate and experienced choreographer to join the team for our Upper School’s production of Ride the Cyclone (High School Edition). This is a wonderful opportunity to work with students of varying skill levels, bringing the magic of this contemporary musical to life through movement.

- Location: Charlottesville, VA
- Employment Dates: 12/1/2025 – 2/6/26 (8 weeks total, approx. 35 days)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:45 PM – 5:45 PM (generally – excluding Tech Weeks)
- Total Stipend: $ 3,000.00

- Develop and teach choreography for approximately 8 musical numbers in Ride the Cyclone; currently anticipated numbers:

- Collaborate with the director and production team to align choreography with the vision of the show.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages students to explore their dance skills.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students, promoting growth and confidence in their performances.
Qualifications & Experience
- Extensive experience in a variety of dance styles (musical theater, contemporary, jazz, etc.).
- Proven experience working with students, preferably in a Theatrical or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professionalism and kindness.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of students and staff.
Requirements
- Must be available for scheduled rehearsals from 12/1/25 to 2/2/26.
- Ability to commute to Charlottesville, VA.
- A passion for arts education.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
