Call for Volunteers!
The Children’s Museum of Richmond is looking for a small, mighty crew of high-energy, joy-bringing volunteers to help us deliver a goofy, short, and unforgettable mission moment at our Pretend Again Gala on Friday, March 20 (7–10 pm).
Here’s the fun part: We’re planning a CMoR-themed parody of Village People’s “YMCA” and we need volunteers who are willing to be a little silly, a lot enthusiastic, and ready to get a room full of adults laughing, clapping, and joining in.
The role (10 minutes of magic around 8:30 pm):
- Perform a playful, choreographed parody celebrating CMoR’s mission (you don’t need to be a good singer!)
- Dress up as bold, joyful characters (think: butterfly, construction worker, artist, our beloved Seymour mascot, and one more TBD)
- Engage the crowd and invite them to participate
What we provide:
- Costumes
- Script and guidance
- Two complimentary tickets to the Pretend Again Gala per performer
This gala raises essential funds that ensure children and families across our region can continue to learn, grow, and connect through play. Interested? Please email Kim at kclark@cmorva.org.
Thank you!
