Born out of the early 1970’s in New York City, the music of Steely Dan has been described as intricate, jazz-infused rock and pop with sophisticated songwriting, complex harmonic structures, and witty lyrics. Highly regarded among serious musicians and sophisticated music fans, the Rev 4/14/25 PW band’s sound is anything but easy to copy. But leave it to a group of dedicated and talented RVA musicians to rise to the occasion. Deputy Dan, made up of David Lennon (guitar), Ron Sada (guitar), Gerald Hemphill (drums), Steve Wetzler (bass), John Holmes (keyboards), and Allen Burris (sax/flute/woodwinds), brings their tribute to the iconic sounds of Steely Dan to The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen’s Cardinal Ballroom in February 2026!
