Henrico Theatre Company Presents “Getting Sara Married”

By | May 10, 2026

Looking for a fun night out in Richmond? Henrico Theatre Company is bringing the laughs with Getting Sara Married, a bright and breezy romantic comedy by Sam Bobrick.

Aunt Martha has decided to get her reluctant niece, Sara, married at any cost. In this case, that means bopping a prospective groom over the head and having him delivered straight to her apartment. There’s just one problem… he’s already engaged. What follows is a fast-paced evening full of unexpected twists, amnesia, meddling relatives, and even a few serious food allergies.

Directed by Amber dePass and featuring a talented local cast including Mollie Montague, Mason Patrick, Tara Linn Sheekley, Greg Frazee, Meagan Justice, and Rick Glass, this 90-minute comedy (with a 15-minute intermission) is the perfect lighthearted escape.

Audiences are loving this show after a strong opening weekend, and it’s easy to see why. It’s charming, quick, and genuinely funny—exactly the kind of feel-good theatre Richmond could use right now.
