5th Wall Theatre is seeking a TECHNICAL DIRECTOR for our upcoming production of Our Dear Dead Drug Lord.
The TECHNICAL DIRECTOR will oversee the build and installment of the scenic and technical elements of the production, working closely with the director and design team to bring a bold and immersive environment to life.
Responsibilities include:
– Collaborating with designers to translate design concepts into buildable plans
– Budgeting and sourcing materials within production parameters
– Overseeing build, load-in, and strike
– Ensuring safety and feasibility of all scenic/technical elements
– Coordinating with stage management and production staff
Qualifications:
– Prior experience as a Technical Director or in a similar role
– Strong organizational and communication skills
– Ability to problem-solve creatively under time and budget constraints
– Familiarity with safety standards and best practices
Compensation: A stipend is provided.
