| Step into the world of Shakespeare this summer with the Richmond Shakespeare Festival Young Company (FYC)! Designed for students ages 13–19, FYC is an exciting summer training program for young people who love theatre , history , storytelling , and making new friends with fellow creative artists. Whether your student is brand new to Shakespeare or already stage-struck , FYC offers a welcoming and inspiring environment to learn, grow, and perform! Students will train with professional local theatre artists in: Classical acting techniques Stage combat Shakespeare scene study Theatre history Music and performance Classes run June 15–24(With Juneteenth and Sunday the 21st off!) The program culminates in live performances as part of the Festival Green Show prior to Richmond Shakespeare’s summer production of As You Like It! Important Dates: June 15–24 – FYC Classes June 25 – Festival performances begin July 12 – Festival closes Tuition is $350 Scholarships are available!
